The Rawlins City Council has updated its regular meeting schedule. Regular meetings now start at 6:00 p.m. on the first and third Tuesdays of each month (previously 7:30 p.m.) at City Hall, 521 W. Cedar St. Meetings are also broadcast live and recorded at www.youtube.com/@rawlinsgovernment. City Council work sessions will now typically be held immediately following the Council meeting.
The change to the meeting time was made to better support community participation, provide more flexibility for scheduling, and help avoid late evening sessions. Updates made to Rawlins Municipal Code 2.04.010 also clarify how work sessions and special meetings are scheduled, while continuing to meet all requirements of the Wyoming Open Meetings Act.
More information on the City Council meetings can be found at www.rawlinswy.gov/boarddocs, including full agendas, council packets, and attachments dating back till March 2015. These materials are typically released on Friday prior to the regular council meeting. Meeting recordings can be found at www.youtube.com/@rawlinsgovernment, going back until August 2019.
