The Carbon County Fair Parade is tomorrow August 2nd starting at 10 am! There are great places to sit on both sides of the street along the route and don’t forget your bags for candy.
**Road Notice**
The roads on the Fair Parade route will be closed at 9:30 am. Please arrive at your parade spot by 9:30 am to make sure you are not stopped by a road closure. The parade runs from Spruce and 16th, along Spruce until 5th Street, along 5th Street until Cedar, and along Cedar Street until Utah Street , marked in blue on the attached map. The closure extends along the route, through downtown, and up 3rd Street to Higley. The additional closure prevents traffic buildup and congestion at the parade and are marked in red on the attached map.
Starting at 9:30, traffic will not be permitted within the road closures. Do not jump across the road closure. Those caught in traffic or at a road closure will be delayed until the parade clears.
We will also be redirecting traffic on 3rd Street at Higley Street to prevent 3rd Street from getting backed up with stopped traffic. We will also be directing Interstate traffic to use Exit 215 to come into town.
