Council Upcoming Meetings Notice

The agenda and council packet for Rawlins’ City Council’s Regular Meeting on Tuesday, October 3, 2023, at 7:30 p.m. is available on BoardDocs at www.rawlinswy.gov/boarddocs. The public is encouraged to attend or watch the meetings remotely. Council work sessions and meetings are broadcast live and recorded on YouTube at www.rawlinswy.gov/youtube. Council meetings are held in Council Chamber, City Hall, 521 W. Cedar Street. There is no work session. 

 

Council items include:  

  • Public Hearing and Approval for Bingo/Pull Tabs/Gaming License for American Legion #122 at 412 5th Street 
  • Public Hearing and Approval for a Special Use Permit for Wyoming Downs LLC for a Pari-Mutuel/Horseracing/Off Track Betting Site at 1602 Inverness Blvd (Peppermill)  
  • Approval of Council Member Nomination to Local Government Liability Pool Board 
  • Discussion of Designation of 2023 Funds from Wyoming Community Gas 
  • Presentation of the October Community Builder Award
  • Appointment to Rochelle Ranch Golf Course Advisory Board and Resignation Acceptance from Old Pen Joint Powers Board 
  • Reports from DDA/Main Street & Hub, City Manager, Staff, and Council
  • Approve Minutes, Accounts Payable, and Payroll 
  • Executive Session per 16-4-405(a)(ix)

Regular City Council meetings include opportunities for citizens to communicate with the council. Citizen’s Participation is reserved for items not on the agenda. During agenda items, public comments may be accepted after council discussion. To address the Council during Citizen’s Participation or at other times during the meeting, please raise your hand and come to the podium once recognized by the mayor. Comments made on social media before or during the meetings are not an official way of communicating with the governing body. We do not consistently monitor comments on the live stream of the meeting except to check on the sound levels or for other technical issues.

 

Rawlins City Council meetings are held every first and third Tuesday of each month at 7:30p. Work sessions are often held beforehand, typically at 6:00 pm.
