Council Upcoming Meetings Notice

The agenda and council packets for Rawlins’ City Council’s Work Session and Meeting on Monday, June 5, 2023, at 6:00 and 7:30 pm are available on BoardDocs at www.rawlinswy.gov/boarddocs. The meeting has been moved to Monday due to council scheduling conflicts. The public is encouraged to attend or watch the meetings remotely. Council work sessions and meetings are aired live on Channel 191 (Spectrum) and on YouTube at www.rawlinswy.gov/youtube. Council meetings are held in Council Chamber, City Hall, 521 W. Cedar Street. 

 Council items include:  

  • Work Session: Ordinance Enforcement Responsibilities and Procedures 
  • Approve - 2nd Reading of July 1, 2023-June 30, 2024 (FY24) Budget 
  • Approve – Award Bid for ADA Doors/Installation at Recreation Center and City Hall 
  • Approve – WYDOT Traffic Safety Administration Grant for impaired driving and seatbelt use enforcement
  • Approve – Approve Fireworks for Independence Day 
  • Presentation of June 2023 Community Builder Award
  • Appointment to Parks & Recreation Advisory Committee
  • Reports from Interim Manager, Staff, DDA/Main Street and Hub, and Council 
  • Approve Minutes, Accounts Payable, and Payroll 
  • Executive Session per State Statute 16-4-405(ii, ix) 

 Upcoming Council Meetings: 

  • Wednesday, June 14th – special meeting of Council for final budget reading 
  • Tuesday, June 20th – regular council meeting
  • Wednesday, July 5th – special meeting instead of Tuesday due to Independence Day

 Regular City Council meetings include opportunities for citizens to communicate with council. Citizen’s Participation is reserved for items not on the agenda. During agenda items, public comments may be accepted after council discussion. To address the Council during Citizen’s Participation or at other times during the meeting, please raise your hand and come to the podium once recognized by the mayor. Comments made on social media before or during the meetings are not an official way of communicating with the governing body. We do not consistently monitor comments on the live stream of the meeting, except to check on the sound levels or for other technical issues.

 Rawlins City Council meetings are held every first and third Tuesday of each month at 7:30p. Work sessions are often held beforehand, typically at 6:00 pm.
