During a special City of Rawlins City Council meeting on Wednesday, June 23, 2021, City Council voted to suspend the Liquor License of Rock Creek, LLC d/b/a Peppermill Bar & Grill. The License was suspended for their intermittent failure to pay sales tax since 2018 with a total current delinquency of $106,663.01 as of May 14th. The suspension will only be lifted upon the release of the sales tax hold by the Liquor Division of the Department of Revenue. This suspension is in effect for a maximum of 90 days and can be lifted at any regular meeting of the City Council, which are held the first and third Tuesdays of each month. Until the suspension is lifted, Peppermill Bar & Grill may not sell any liquor, spirits or malt beverages. If the sales tax hold is not released by the end of the 90-day period, City Council may consider permanent revocation of the license. The City Council takes its duties, as the local licensing authority, seriously and actively requires all liquor license holders to be in compliance with all applicable laws.
