Notice: There was an accidental oil spill into the sewer system on Thursday, July 23, 2020. This does not affect our drinking water as it is a separate system. The City of Rawlins Public Works, Police and Fire Departments are currently addressing the situation with the Wyoming Department of Environmental Quality.
Please remember to keep our sewers clean. It is a law under City Ordinance 13.12.170. Just as importantly though, contaminants to the sewer system can kill the organisms which clean the sewage at the wastewater treatment plant.
