Our Parks division received our new state-of-the-art Laser Grade ABI machine today, thanks to a generous grant from the CCSD#1 Recreation Board. Our crew spent the day learning how to use this machine to its fullest extent. The grader is vital to maintain all the hard work put into the baseball fields over the past years to keep the fields level and safe for play. Thanks to CCSD#1 Recreation Board for their ongoing support of the baseball programs in Rawlins!
Multiple CCSD#1 grants, private grants, volunteer hours, and City of Rawlins staff time have been dedicated to revitalizing the baseball fields at both the VFW Fields and the Sports Complex. This has included laser grading and new turf for infields, grading and reseeding of the outfields, and new scoreboards.
