Generic BHE Digging_041825_lf

Sharing for our friends at Blacks Hills Energy – they will be working in Highland Hills this summer and need to work directly with homeowners in the 2000 block of Inverness and Kilmary, or along the south side of Loch Tay. Please contact them at 307-275-2592 if you have not already chatted with them. See their info below for more details.

***********************************************************

In mid-April 2025, Black Hills Energy's technicians will begin work on a natural gas line project in the Highland Hills area of Rawlins. While the current natural gas lines are still safe, we will be working to update and relocate service lines in this area. The new gas lines require less maintenance, improve our ability to precisely locate the lines and are installed using the latest materials and methods.

Some of the work being done will require access to homeowners' back yard areas.  We are currently working to contact affected customers, by phone call, letters and door hangers. We do not expect any extended service interruptions while the work is being completed, although each house will need to be shut off for 1-2 hours to complete the tie-over to the new main. Once our work is finished, Black Hills Energy will remediate any affected areas.

Project locations:

  • Glasgow (north side)
  • Inverness (both sides) from Glasgow to Loch Tay
  • Kilmary (east side) from Glasgow to Loch Tay
  • Loch Tay (south side)

If you are a homeowner in the 2000 block of Inverness and Kilmary, or along the south side of Loch Tay, please look for our customer communications or contact our service representatives at your earliest convenience: (307) 275-2592.

We do not expect the project work to interrupt traffic in the area but encourage drivers to reduce speed and use extra caution around work vehicles.
