The City of Rawlins is proud to announce the selection of the City of Rawlins attorney, Pinita Maberry-Nave. Mayor Terry Weickum stated, “We are excited to have Pinita join the incredible Rawlins team.” Prior to assuming her current position as City Attorney, Maberry-Nave served as the Interim City Attorney.

Pinita is a proud native of Rawlins. She graduated from Rawlins High School before earning her B.A. in Astronomy/Astrophysics from the University of Wyoming. She later pursued her J.D. from the University of Denver, Sturm College of Law, graduating in 2007. Pinita brings a diverse range of experiences to her role, including work in FDA food law, the California corporate arena, private practice, and serving as a Staff Attorney in the Second Judicial District Court.

Pinita said, “I am thrilled to step into the role of City Attorney and work with a fantastic group of people who are equally committed to serving the place we call home and championing the values that bind us together.”

Outside of her professional endeavors, Pinita is actively engaged in volunteer work in Rawlins and serves on several law-related boards and committees. In her spare time, she enjoys quality time with her family, indulging in literature, exploring new destinations, and venturing into the breathtaking outdoor spaces of Carbon County with her dogs.
